The Story
The show is Harlan Coben’s Final Twist. The studio is Promise, an AI-native production company led by filmmaker Dave Clark and backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Peter Chernin’s North Road, and Google’s AI Futures Fund. Their job on Final Twist: recreate crime scenes that only survive as old, grainy archival photographs.
Here is the trick. They fed those archival photos into Marble, World Labs’ generative world model. Marble reads an image or a text prompt and builds an explorable 3D environment as a Gaussian splat — a point-cloud scene with real depth and light, no manual modeling. A flat photo became a navigable set in about a day. Then they put Harlan Coben on a volume stage in Los Angeles and filmed him standing inside it.
